2020 Clare College Carol Composition Competition

Please find attached details of the 2020 Clare College Carol Composition Competition, open to all members of Clare College (undergraduates/postgraduates/staff/Fellows/choir members).  The winning composition will be selected by the Director of Music, Graham Ross, and an external adjudicator, and will be performed by the Choir of Clare College under the direction of Graham Ross at the Advent Carol Services in the College Chapel on Saturday 28 November and Sunday 29 December 2020, recorded and streamed worldwide.  The deadline for submission of entries is 12.00pm on Thursday 5 November 2020. 
 
The carol should be submitted anonymously with a pseudonym on the score.  Entries should be sent in an envelope to Miss Hannah Ambrose, B1, Clare College, in which a smaller sealed envelope should be included giving the composer’s pseudonym, real identity, and contact email address and telephone number.  All entries must be received by 12.00 p.m. on Thursday 5 November 2020.  No late submissions will be accepted.  
 
The competition will be adjudicated by the Director of Music and an external adjudicator.  Their agreed decision will be final and the winning composition will be announced on Monday 9 November 2020.
