The Choir toured to Switzerland as the final tour of the 2016–2017 season, giving performances in the beautiful cities of Lucerne, Zurich and Bellinzona, as well as having free days to explore the countries landmarks.  In Lucerne, we joined forces with their Collegium Vocale and shared a delicious and extremely generous dinner with them.  In Zurich we had a whole day of sightseeing, including visiting Fraumunster Church, and after our concert in the beautiful Franiskanerkirche, we enjoyed a post-concert reception where we met one of our more enthusiastic patrons who had attended the concert in Lucerne and then travelled to Zurich to watch it a second time!  In Bellinzona we performed in the beautiful sixteenth-century Chiesa dei Santi Rocco e Sebastiano, with an extraordinary acoustic that befitted our programme.  We received a standing ovation as this final performance of the academic year drew to a close and we headed back to England.
