A concert to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Gallipoli Campaign.. The Choir of Clare College performs a programme of Remembrance that includes the work of composer William Denis Browne - a casualty of the conflict - alongside two new works by Graham Ross commissioned by Gallipoli Music Memorial 2015.
Gallipoli Music Memorial 2015 (GMM2015) celebrates the little-known stories and artworks of creative artists, including the composer William Denis Browne of the Royal Naval Division (RND), who fought in the Third Battle of Krithia, Gallipoli, on 4th June 1915.

A Gala concert for the Gallipoli Memorial Trust, featuring the music of Clare alumnus and Gallipoli casualty William Denis Browne.
In music, dance and spoken word, we commemorate both the bi-centenary of the Battle of Waterloo and the centenary of the Gallipoli landings where several of Britain’s most promising young composers and writers -like the celebrated poet Rupert Brooke – lost their lives. The Choir joins forces with the young dancers from the Central School of Ballet in sharing the stage with St John’s resident orchestra Southbank Sinfonia.
