The Choir embarked on a huge tour throughout Europe with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra and René Jacobs, performing Handel’s Messiah to sell-out audiences in Athens, Paris, Brussels, Valencia, Rome, Milan and Freiburg, returning to Freiburg in the New Year to record the work for Harmonia Mundi with a star line-up of soloists. The disc became one of the best-selling recordings of the Messiah, hailed by critics with five-star reviews.
